Lisa is a summer student at our Toronto office, and has recently completed her 1L at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
As a Denesuline woman, she enjoys being out on the land and believes that the only way to protect our land is to be active on it as much as possible.
Prior to that she worked as the Executive Director for the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation Dene Lands and Resource Management office. With over 21 years of service to ACFN, Lisa participated in multiple regulatory hearings defending her traditional territory and lead the launch of multiple court actions over the years. Lisa is also currently working out of the Treaty 8 Alberta office in Edmonton.
