Levi Marshall is an Articling Student at OKT. Levi is Mi'kmaw from the community of Membertou First Nation in Nova Scotia and grew up in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Levi has recently completed his J.D. at Osgoode Hall Law School.
At Osgoode, Levi had the chance to visit the Small Claims Court to perform three mediations and helped draft two chapters of the first supplement to the Guide for Lawyers Working with Indigenous Peoples. Levi also volunteered at York University’s Centre for Human Rights, Equity, and Inclusion - helping their team with legal research in Human Rights and Employment Law.
Prior to law school, Levi studied at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he obtained a BFA in Film Studies with a minor in Business Essentials and Public Relations. He has worked in Communications/ Multimedia at TD Securities, helped with several film productions in various capacities, such as a Writer and Social Media Coordinator, and has spent a number of summers working with Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey in Membertou serving the Mi’kmaq communities in Nova Scotia.
Levi is passionate about serving Indigenous communities and advocating for the recognition and realization of their rights.
