Levi Marshall is Mi'kmaq from the community of Membertou First Nation in Nova Scotia. Levi has recently completed his first year of law school at Osgoode Hall as a JD Candidate.
At Osgoode, Levi is a Director of Communication on the Osgoode Indigenous Students' Association, where he is responsible for internal and external communications for Osgoode's Indigenous community. Before law school, Levi studied Film Studies at Ryerson University, where he obtained a BFA with a minor in Business Essentials and Public Relations.
Levi has served for two years in the Co-op/Associates program at TD Securities, a subsidiary of one of Canada's leading banks. He has also worked within the Canadian film industry, as a writer and social media coordinator for a youth television program called "That's AWSM!" on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.
Levi has plenty of experience working with Indigenous communities, previously holding the position of a Multimedia Specialist at a Mi'kmaq education company called Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey, which served all thirteen Mi'kmaq communities in Nova Scotia.
Additionally, he continues to provide sessions with the Connected North program at TakingITGlobal for Indigenous students in Northern Ontario and the territories.
