Katelyn Johnstone is an Associate in OKT's Toronto office. Her practice focuses on litigation relating to human rights and discrimination, Aboriginal and Treaty rights claims, and Indigenous governance.
Prior to joining OKT, Katelyn practiced for two years at a commercial litigation boutique in Toronto and completed her articles as a Judicial Law Clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
Katelyn received her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law with a Certificate in Aboriginal Studies. While at law school, she worked at the Legal Clinic of Aboriginal Legal Services and participated in the Anishinaabe law camp at Neyaashiinigmiing, with Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. Katelyn was also part of the Moot Court Committee, and coached and participated in the Laskin Moot Court Competition.
Katelyn holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science from McMaster University. Katelyn was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2022.
