Last week, OKT was proud to sponsor the closing event marking the grand opening of the University of Victoria’s new Indigenous Law Wing. We were honoured to take part in this special occasion and host a fireside chat featuring OKT Partner Maggie Wente and Polaris Music Prize and Juno Award winner, and a Wolastoqiyik member of Tobique First Nation, Jeremy Dutcher.
Together, they explored the intersection of art and law in advancing reconciliation. The day was filled with meaningful speeches, cultural celebration, and reflections on the vision and intention behind this remarkable new space. It was a privilege to support this milestone moment for the University of Victoria, and we look forward to seeing current and future JD/JID students flourish in their new home.
