Carson is an Associate in our Toronto office. Carson received his J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Carson also received a Certificate in Aboriginal Studies under the supervision of Professor Douglas Sanderson, was a Senior Editor for the Indigenous Law Journal, and participated in the 2025 Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Moot, Anishinaabe Law Camp, and Debwewin Summer Law Student Fellowship Program.
Prior to law school, Carson worked as a software engineer and received a Bachelor of Applied Science from Queen's University.
Carson is particularly interested in the intersection of law and technology, data governance, and AI governance. His paper, "AI and the New Frontier: The Doctrine of Data Nullius" was published in 2025 and argued for the need of pluralistic AI governance.
