Melissa Siroski joined Olthuis Kleer Townshend LLP in August 2018 as a legal assistant. Melissa is from Timmins, ON, from the region of Mattagami River. She provides assistance to the lawyers who practice litigation with a focus on Aboriginal and Human Rights and environmental protection issues. Melissa carries out a variety of responsibilities such as the preparation of documents, follow-ups on files and legal research.
Melissa has a Bachelor degree from Carleton University, with a major in Law and a minor in Psychology. While at Carleton University, she participated in Mooting competitions with the Carleton Law Society.
Melissa also has legal experience as a Caseworker, working with women who were in conflict with the law, which has provided her with exposure to various areas of law. With all that experience, Melissa was provided training to increase her knowledge, not only in the legal field but also in other areas that will enhance her ability to serve clients, such as, advocacy training and Crisis Intervention training. Melissa is fluent in both English and French.
Melissa has several interests which includes spending time at the cottage, cooking, synchronized skating and spending time with family and friends.
