Olthuis, Kleer, Townshend LLP (OKT) is a mid-sized firm recognized as a leader in representing First Nations. OKT’s work focuses on self-determination of Indigenous peoples to advance their goals by advancing precedent-setting litigation, negotiation with government and industry on behalf of First Nations, and advancing the economic interests of First Nations.
OKT is seeking one or more associates who have litigation and negotiations experience to work in our Toronto office, commencing as soon as possible. Our preference is for associates who have at least 4-5 years of practice experience, ideally representing First Nations.
Knowledge of an Indigenous language and culture is an asset. Experience representing, working with and/or living in an Indigenous community is a highly desired qualification. Associates must be able to travel across the country to our clients’ communities and as such a driver’s licence and ability to travel by air is essential.
