Judith Rae is an associate at OKT. She advises First Nations in negotiations and civil litigation. Judith has appeared in court to argue judicial review applications related to the duty to consult and accommodate, and other Aboriginal and treaty rights. She has also advised First Nations on negotiations with government concerning management of natural resources.
Judith received her J.D. from the University of Toronto. During law school, she was the co-Editor-in-Chief of the Indigenous Law Journal. She also volunteered at Downtown Legal Services, and received awards for overall academic achievement. Prior to joining OKT, Judith worked as a consultant for First Nations organizations in the areas of Indigenous children’s rights and First Nations’ social services.
Judith is a member of the Ontario bar.
